parking brake releases S-L-O-W
In other words when I pull the parking brake release it takes a good 5-6 seconds for the brake to move to the disengaged position.
Something wrong with my rear brakes?

The GS rear brakes have what are basically small drum brakes for the emergency brake only. I think you might be having a problem with these sticking, but I don't know much about how they work. The emergency brake is independent of the rear disc brakes, so it's not likely that your problem is related to those. I have noticed that my e-brake pedal releases immediately as it is supposed to, but the red BRAKE light on the dash takes a few seconds to go away.[

You guys suggest I bother with it or just leave it alone? I know disc brakes a little bit but have no clue about drums. Expensive to have a dealer look at it?

i believe that it's essentially a drum-in-disc operation for the rear e-brake.
might be a spring gone bad back there. if you want to look at it yourself, you can. once the assembly's opened up, you can probably figure it out from there. the parking brake adjuster is usually at the 6 o'clock position (well, it is on an ES). you'd have to also check the shoes (i will assume 2 for your car on each brake) and the springs.
