Exclamation

Hi guys on my 92 sc300 i have a rattle that sounds like, from where it comes from is the idler
or tension pully where it is conected to the block. It also only does it after the car has been driven for about
10 min. I fthere are any suggestions as to what this might be or a way to fix it that would be a great help.

I've seen and heard this before. Does the noise change when you lightly raise the rpms? Is the idler wheel plastic? If so you need to change the idler to the updated one. Your current idler wheel is plastic, the updated one is metal. That's where the noise is coming from. Hope that helps?

Arrow rattle

The rattle goes away when the rpms go up just a little. the wheel is plastic. Just for curiosity
what differance does this make? (the steel or plastic) Thank you for your help.

The plastic pulley rattles as tension changes on the tensioner. Change it to the metal one and the noise should go away.
