Reset "Check Engine".

usually when the bad/malfunctioning sensor is replaced or the condition that triggers the check engine light to come on is removed then the light will go out upon restarting the car.
Sometimes the codes can be reset from the scan tool used to read the codes. If Autozone read the codes and you bought the part from Autozone, see if they are able to delete the code from memory. Be careful and make sure they know what they are doing and what you mean.
Lastly, I have heard of disconnecting both the postive and negative cables from the battery and holding the ends together for about 30 seconds to a minute. All your presets (radio, memory seat postions, etc) will be lost.
***I have never done this myself, but have read posts where this is done. I would seek the advice of more knowledgable individuals before attempting this.***
When all else fails, bite the bullet and go to a Lexus/Toyota service center.
good luck

One of the guys at the LS 400 forum told me to lift the cover of the fuse box next to the battery and remove the fuse marked "engine" and then put it back in. In my case, it worked.

kimbill, why don't you take your car to Lexus dealer and let them fix it.
Frist, the front 2 Oxygen sensors are the Air-Fuel ratio sensor(not the O2 sensor) and the back that the wire go under the body is the O2 sensor. Thanks DD for correctting me( previous post). Those sensor are not the same.
Second, your son cut the shielded wires from the O2 sensor to the body.
Third, disconnect the battery or try to reset will not help at all.
Please reread all of your threads about this check engine light and I know DD already gave you some good advices. My $0.02
