Hello,
The latch on the center console of our 2002 Lexus ES300 is broken. I took it into our local Lexus of Brookfield dealer, and they stated they would need to replace the entire console cover, at a cost of almost $350.
When asking about other options, she suggested carparts.com, amazon, and ebay. I've tried all of them to no avail.
I can easily find the bottom part that the top of the console clicks into, but I can't seem to find the latch to the top itself (that you push the button to release the console cover) - meaning I have to drive with my elbow on it or the cover is flapping all over the place.
Has anyone had any success with finding specific replacement parts like this, or have any suggestions on where to go? I haven't taken the cover apart and am starting to think that this thing is just one solid piece...
