IS250 oil question
I have a IS250 2006. I also had the tsib done for the carbon build up and pistons. I used to use synthetic oil before the tsib. But one of the reps told me synthetic is not recommended for these engines after the tsib. So my question is what brand oil do you guys recommend that is not synthetic? All I see for regular oil on the shelves is Pennzoil. And can I still change the oil every 5,000 miles? Even though it is not recommended should I continue using synthetic oil? Over here the dealer charges $89 per oil change. I do about 35,000 miles a year. I used to change the oil myself. Thanks for any help or input

Ive never heard of not being able to (or not being recommended to) use synthetic after the service bulletin is performed. I dont see any problem with using synthetic. And yes, every 5k is still the recommended interval. 35k a year!? Wow! Thats an oil change every 2 months... I say keep on doing what you're doing, use the same oil, OEM filter, and enjoy!
