Default Question, Fact or myth?

Ok this goes to everyone who owns a lexus, now ive been contemplating wether or not to buy one because i've been hearing this from people i know, but i much rather ask you folks. Question is after the lexus warranty alot of them experience electrical problems? Is this true? I dont want to be deverted from the lexus ive been wanting to purchase because of this reason. I am a mechanic but im not so familiar with lexus mainly just honda as i stated in my New memeber post.
Dont kill me if i posted in the wrong thread please move if necessary.
Thanks in advance.

I think you may be thinking of Germans cars lol. But seriously, I've never seen any common electric problems in any of the Lexus models. Of course anything is possible, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just check everything over before you buy the car and you'll be fine.

I have a few BMW in my family and Toyota/Lexus. BMW have issues with electric and the Lexus never had an issue. Granted, there are some parts that do wear over time but its nothing extreme at all.

I agree with the above and I get to work on all makes and models.

Toyota / Lexus are one of the most reliable, electrically.

The older LS400's have a ecu problem, and that is electrical. So yes some models do have electrical problems. But I suppose any aged car can and will have them.
