A/C Causes fuse to blow
Hey all-
I have a 92 SC300 that I have had for 16 years. Love it. It has been an amazing car!
I recently went to turn on my A/C, and when I did, it popped the fuse. It worked fine before this, but now any time I turn on the A/C, the fuse blows. I don't really know where to start troubleshooting this. Could it be the A/C compressor clutch? The relay malfunctioning? It's hard to troubleshoot since the fuse blows as soon as the A/C button is pressed. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? Climate control functions perfectly otherwise...
Any leads/tests would be greatly appreciated!

It is most likely that the a/c compressor is seized, so when the clutch tries to engage, it blows the fuse. You can reach down with the engine off, and try to turn the front part of the a/c compressor (the clutch side), this is the side connected to the compressor itself, and if it turns, the compressor is ok... if it doesnt, the compressor is seized.
