Replacing PS High pressure hose 93LS
1993 LS400
Looks like it is tough to get to the rack side connection of the high pressure PS hose - are there any tricks, is it even possible to do without dropping the rack?
Is disconnecting the hose at the fitting a few inches away from the rack an option (the fitting that is used to test pressure) - and just running the new hose from that point onward to the pump ??
Thanks Herm

Yes it's a little tricky, but you don't have to drop the rack. Try to sneak a 17mm wrench in there(use the box end). I found it easier to remove the solenoid, the round thing with 2 wires coming out. You will need to take the solenoid out to clean the screen too. Where the solenoid attach to the rack, you will see a big nut at the end of the solenoid. Just use a chisel and tap it with a hammer to unscrew the solenoid. Then you can get to the 17mm bolt that hold the line to the rack easier.
