Default Turquoise transmission: is it rebuilt?

Hey CL just a quickie.

I asked this question when I had about 150 posts, so it was a while back...On my SC400 the tranny is turquoise. Does this mean it was rebuilt? Stock trannys are either brown or covered in gunk. Right? The owner before did not keep any records whatsoever so I have no proof.
Thanks in advance

Are you referring to the color of the transmission casing? Normally, they are just bare aluminum. So if is painted, it's likely that it was either removed and rebuilt, or it couldve been a junkyard transmission that someone installed at some point.

Yeah, it's not just the pan that is turquoise, it's the whole transmission. Wish the owner before didn't trash the records...
