Scheduled Maintenance?!?!?!
I am scheduling my first Schedule maintenance on my used GS 300 and was wondering if the price quoted is a little high! I was quoted a 348.00 price, which I thought is too high for the service that will be done. I heard that the 60,000-mile service was the killer service and wanted to know if this is what an OIL CHANGE at Lexus is!

you can't ask a question with out providing what is the service include, how many miles you have? no one will be able to tell if if that is expensive or not?

You say "first sched", I'll take a stab that it's 5-7.5K ish. In my area SoCal $99.00 for oil, rotate& balance plus those typical associated inspections.
Listing the miles though will get a few more opinions.
I really meant 40-45ish

First maintenance
I bought the car with 42,000 miles and the next schedule was for the 45,000 mile service!
The service includes Replace engine oil, and oil filter, air condition filter, differential oil, rotate tires, and road test vehicle.
They also inspect engine air filter, body/chassis nuts and golts, inspect exaust pipes and mountings, brakes:linings, discs, drums, lines, hoses, steering linkages, rack and pinion assy. for leakage, ball and joints dust covers, drive shaft boots( retorque flange bolts), differtial oile, body.

Oops read through the 'used'.
45K, that one was around 250.00. By chance when you check the VIN, was the 30K completed? My car had 46K when I picked it up, certain items under the 30K check had been completed, but I opted for a fresh start by doing the std 30k check. Had a coupon which got it completed for 499.00, not including an A/C filter (did it myself). You get a lot more for the 30K than the 45k. Just a thought.

Find out if the service department is going to check the tranny fluid or do a complete flush. My service department does a complete flush on every 15k service (15, 30, 45, 60, etc). It is not in the manual but on their board. This will elevate the price a little. I just had a 15k service and it was just over 3 bills. The 15 and 45 are very similar for my ES.
