Did you check strut mounts?

In order for any of us to help out, please post up as much detail related to the issue at hand. Year, mileage, current suspension setup (stock suspension, springs, coilovers, air, etc), any other symptoms noted (sloppy handling, etc)...

1998 120k on it ride is smooth no wobbling or vibration but if I go over a bump or cracks in the road it sounds like a tin can clunk the shocks are not leaking i even checked the wheel bearings someone sent that as a guess So is their a way of checking strut mounts and my last guess is the caster arm bushings which are old but don't show any cracks

98 what, ES, IS, LS, GS?

Huge differences between all suspensions. LOL. If you have checked or replaced all of the above, then I can safely say its probably strut mounts.

Dropping it off at the dealer to be suckered again last two mechanics wasted time and money the noise remains thank god I haven't put the lowering springs on they would have told me it was because of them

Any update on this? Was the dealer able to give you a solution? I'm about to replace my lower ball joints, and if it doesn't fix the clunking, it'd be nice to know what other causes exists.

Dealer is saying its the ball joints again which I find hard to believe but it's quiet again I guess the aftermarket ones didn't hold up
