So is it better to get a used transmission which I found a 2005 transmission with 51k miles for $770. Or is it better to just rebuild mine?
Youre best off getting a new transmission from Lexus, mainly because you will then have a warranty. If you buy a used transmission, you're rolling the dice, and will be responsible if that one fails as well. BTW, a 2005 transmission will not fit in your 2006.
