Any potential issues with storing an open bottle of oil for a few months?
I bought two five-quart jugs of 0w-30 Mobil 1 about 11 months ago. Used about 6.5 qt for one oil change, and now I'm doing another oil change 10K miles later using the remaining 3.5 qt in the last jug (and another jug of course). The oil was stored at reasonable temps (60-83 F), but I'm not sure if some contaminants (condensation or anything?) could have made their way into my oil in that time anyways. Anyone know?
Probably a stupid question, but just want to be sure. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the quick response.
Yeah, had the cap on. Hopefully tight enough... Thought it would probably be ok.
Also, just to be sure again, new, clean oil should be brownish, right? That's the color of this oil, and my old oil is definitely darker, which intuitively makes sense.

I've used Mobil 1 after a year and half and didn't have any problems. I had left the jug behind some stuff and discovered it some time later. I just mixed it with a new jug and everything was fine.
