Extended Warranties
I passed on the extended warranty when I bought my RX 300.
I knew I could return and buy it anytime while my car was still
under factory warranty.
They wanted $1,900 for it and were willing, if I bought it that day,
to discount it to $1800. (7yr/75,000mi). Whoop-de-doo. ?
A friend told me of Warranty Direct.
I checked it out and it's similar to the Lexus warranty, and
considerably cheaper at $1250 for 7yr/100,000 mi.
Anyone have any experience with Lexus OEM or
any aftermarket Warranties like Warranty Direct?

you should be able to get the 7 year, 100K warranty for about $1400/1500 or so. Depending on the dealership, maybe another $100 or so, nothing more...
p.s. I bought the 7 year/100k because in the past, the extended warranties have saved me over 10 times what I spent on the warranty... bad luck???

Be wary of these warranties. Read the fine print. Most of these contracts only cover failure of internally lubricated parts. These things rarely go. A lot of times there are seals that are weak that aren't covered anyway.
