OD light flashing
Hello All,
my friend just picked up a 93 ES300
the tranny was known to be dead. and needed to be replaced.
But he changed out the fluid and it works fine now.
So he wound up not needing a replacement after all.
Which is great. Car is fine on local streets, but on the highway the OD light would flash.
Any one have any suggestion or ideas what this might be? Is it an electrical problem.
I told him to use the "Homer Simpson fix" and put a piece of tape over the flahing light =P
But he'd like to find a real fix for it.
Thanks all
Regards
Ken

A flashing od light indicates a trans trouble code. Something is wrong electronically. You can disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and recheck. If it flashes again you have a problem.

Thanks guys,
also the tranny seems to be slipping lately,
like what get into gear unless my freind lets off the gas and hit it again. or he'll gas, and get a delayed reaction.
Is it still electroin, or mechanical now?
thanks
