A/C filter?? SC300 / SC400
I see sometimes threads about A/C filter on this forum, but do you know if 93 sc400 have A/C filter?
What year model come with A/C filter?
Do you know the part number for these? I know there are 2 filters. but can't find the location.
Thanks

I have wondered about that myself. I don't have the service manuals for my '95 SC300, but I found an online service bulletin that deals with musty AC odor. I have a handful of jpg's that show the location of the AC filter, also referred to as a pollen filter, that I will post. Please forgive the fact that I'm posting one jpg per message, but I don't feel like trying to get them all in one jpg. The same place that I found these jpg's informs me that my car doesn't have a pollen filter. I was in the area of the AC system depicted in the jpg's, and I didn't see a filter, but I was in there to retrieve a wayward piece of pine straw so I wasn't explicitly looking for the filter.

My car was supposidly only serviced at Lexus and when I got the car there was no AC filter in there. The whole inside of the hole was dirty. Thank goodness for compressed air.

you guys are right, I just looked for A/C filter on 93. I couldn't find one but when I open the plate, all the dirt, leaves, stones fell on my hand. here's my next question, should I get A/C filter and install? my A/C smells when it functions on/off each time. wondering if the filter does anything to do with smell...$30-40/filter.
