94 LS400 RPM and Climate Clock LCD
When I put my 1994 LS400 in park the RPM goes from six down to
almost zero and a couple of times sounded like it was going to
stall. The RPM also go down when I come to a stop. Also my
climate clock LCD is out and I was wondering if anyone knows
someone who can install a new one for a reasonable price.
I live in Livermore, CA.

no help on the climate part...
as far as the almost dying, could be a idle control motor getting shady... does it also do this when going into drive, or turning the a/c on or off?
might be worth it to clean the idle air motor and ports, but it might not even be related... there are other potential issues, but that would be most common given your somewhat vague symptoms... is the check engine light on? any other symptoms at all? what was the most recent services performed? when was the last time the spark plugs / wires were replaced?

Need lexus mechanic in livermore ca!
mitsuguy,
It does go down in RPMs when I put it in park, and even coming to a stop sometimes. I'm sorry I havent gotten back to this site but I have had other bigger problems. Thank you for your response. I will check the idle control motor. I replaced the water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt and thermostat, then the battery, then the alternator recently. Now I need new rotors and brakes on the back and the heater just quite blowing hot air, the a/c works great. I NEED A LEXUS MECHANIC IN LIVERMORE CA! Anyone laid off or does work on the side? Can anyone tell me of any middle of the road rotors, prices I have gotten go from 25.00 (Raybestos from Monument) to 171.00 (Lexus). Thanks, Pamela
