I've noticed that 1992 Toyota camry (V-6) use many of the same parts as same the 1992 ES300. A friend told me they have the same engine. Is this true? If so, should I purchase the repair manual for the 1992 Toyota Camry?

Why buy a toyota manual for a lexus. Don't be cheap it not that much more

This thread is very old but to answer your question the Camry is the same mechanically but body/interior wise very different.
