Default wheel alignment done and still drifts to the right

I bought a 2005 CPO. Car drifted to the right, and dealer did a wheel alignment. Rear toe was out of spec - all within spec now. Still drifts to the right. Dealer says it is "radial" pull from new tires.

When car goes over a speed bump or dips, steering wheel turns sharply to the right by itself.

Any idea what my be the cause, and what parts may be the culprit?

Bought a CPO to avoid such hassle... Just my luck

Ask the dealer to cross two front tires, if it pulls to left then you got a bad tire. Anyway, they still have to fix the problem.

Default radial pull

I have the same thing on an ls430.

The tires are michelin pilot sport a/s.

Put the tire on the rear and the pull stopped.

The tire wore off on one side as though badly out of line.

Lasted only 12k miles.

Last set lasted 48k miles.

In a peeing match with Michelin now.

They dont want to pay to replace, but I have alignment report

so I think they will eventually.

Good luck,

Alan

just so ya'll know, a tire can actually wear as to cause it to pull... almost all tire manufacturers only warrant against radial pull for the first 2/32's tread... lets look at it this way - if it didn't pull when it was new, then its not built wrong...

also, alignment specs are very ambiguous... I can easily get a car within specs and it still pull... I can also get a car within specs and it still wear out the tires... the specs give lots of room and allow for a really poor alignment if the tech doesn't know what he is doing...

Mitsuguy,

I have a 1992 sc400 and just replaced most all suspension, front and rear.

It has 250k miles, I bought it new, and it is a daily driver(not hard).

Could you post alignment specs you would use for this car?

Thanks in advance,

Alan
