Default What is the best way to clean these parts

What is the SAFEST best way to clean these items inside and out? I was thinking about using carb cleaner but I have heard horror stories about it.

brake cleaner, as mentioned... brake cleaner dissipates in the air, and dries quickly... just make sure it's dry before the car is started, and you are good...

I think it'll pool in the bottom of the intake manifold if it does at all, and that keeps it out of the combustion chamber... If the bottom of the manifold would allow it to pour into the combustion chamber, I would pull the plugs prior to starting the engine and make sure it's dry in there...

The only reason I'm hesitant to put anything in there is because I'm changing my plugs and I dont want to ruin them.

leave the plugs out until the stuff has dried up first... brake cleaner will dry almost immediately...
