1998 Lexus GS300 door will not lock
i have a 1998 lexus gs300 and the front driver side door will not lock at all, the switch will be locked but from outside and inside its still openable, whats the problem? highly appreciated...

yes it just doesnt lock i can still open it from the outside, kind of weird but the lock moves and i can use my hand to manually lock it but still from the outside iss still openable.

without looking, I'm sure its cable actuated like my SC400 (and most other lexus cars) need to take the door apart - either a cable broke, a cable end fell off, or the part the cable end interacts with broke / came loose... it will definitely be something mechanical and should be easy to see once the door panel is off...
