So my car starts to make an creaking/squeaking noise that is audible when the windows are down.
-You can hear intermittently when I coast through an alley at less than 5 mph to all the way up to 30-40 mph. I guess past that speed, its drowned out by engine and wind noise.
-Alot of times, it doesn't make any noise at all until at speeds as high as 40 until iI go over an uneven pavement (not bumps or potholes) or make lane change than it goes away.
-It also goes away when I apply the brakes

yeah, bearings are usually more of a slight grinding noise. My wife described it as "spinning discs" when her car needed bearings, and I can't really come up with a better description. If you're old-school enough to have driven a car with a broken speedometer cable, it sounds EXACTLY like that.
Like RTGS400 said, squeaking is usually brakes, and it sounds like that's what you need.
