One O2 sensor causing others to go bad?
That is what I heard from the clerk at the local parts store. He suggested I replace all 4 since replacing the one that is throwing the code will cause the other 3 to go bad.
Personally I think it is a load of bull.
What's been your experience?

parts and service places want to replace the set due to the fact that they can and will go out in sequence...
then a month down the road when you are having problems with another, they covered their *** by letting you know it was recommended to replace the set...
same thing goes for injectors, spark plugs, and other things that are in multiples on a car...
for instance: 1994 (i think) Infiniti J30... came in with check engine light and poor engine performance... check engine light said bad injector, diagnostic time confirmed... gave customer option of replacing just the one, or the set (almost the same labor to do one or all), but additional cost of injectors obviously... customer declined, just replaced the bad one... 2 months later, exact same problem came back, this time a different injector... customer was pissed, but it wasn't our doing...
basically, if one sensor goes out, it is common for the others to follow (they do have the same mileage and abuse)... if you are doing it yourself, then the labor isn't an issue, and you might as well just do the one, then re-diagnose yourself if needed...
