Changing differential oil on GS400
Have you change your differential oil on a GS400 before?
If so, what type of oil do you use, and how do you do it?
How many quart do I need? is there a dip stick or something so I can tell how much oil I need to put in to refill?
Does it like changing oil, you open the drain bolt, drain the oil, and refill with new oil? I need to do mine soon.
Thank you in advance.

How many miles you got on your car?
I don't remember what the spec. for Lexus, but 50K miles is good to change the diff. oil
Changing differential oil is a little more work than engine oil. There should be a bolt on the side of the diff. to check the level and a bottom bolt to drain. Drain the oil put the bolt back. with the side bolt off you need some type of pump (any auto part store has it) pump 80-90 weight oil in until it fill up, put the bolt back. Should be about 2 Qts.

45K? wow, I got to check the manual again, I thought it say 30K, but I could be wrong.
I was thinking about getting some synthetic oil for the differential. anyway, I only have 25k miles on my car hee hee.
the differential is doing alot of hard word from the way I drive, so I just thought maybe it's better to change it early. Like having a external tranny cooler when i didn't have a new torque converter yet, but soon.

I like you to confirm that by watch them change all your fluid at 30K miles. Some how you can't let them know that you're watching. I don't think they change the differential fluid at 30K...
Don't mind me, I just don't trust dealer that's all (Even Lexus dealer)
