The spring on the actual door itself is broken. What can I do to fix this? It makes it hard to fill up by yourself. I did figure out how to use a book to hold the latch beside my seat up so I could go and press the front of the filler door in to swing the door out enough to get my finger in to pull it all the way open.

Need to buy a new spring, should be able to pick one up at the dealer pretty cheap.

In the trunk behind the gas door there is a string that you can pull that will open it. Will help you out until you replace the spring...
