1993 Lexus Key Battery Question
The tiny screw on my '93 Lexus key fell out out some point and my key opened up, and the battery fell some place.
Can anyone tell me what type of battery I should look for at Radio Shack?
I tried a 3.0v one they had there, but it didn't seem to work when I put it in.
Thanks in advance,
-S

See if the service department at your Lexus dealer will take care of that for you.
My Lexus dealer changed a dead key battery for me for free. I think most dealers will...those batteries cost them something like 10 cents each.

Thanks guys for the updates. I got a replacement battery but my doors still don't unlock. Mysteriously it seems that after I took it to the detailers, this problem must have started happening. Is there a quick way to check the mechanism?
Where is the RF receiver/device that picks up the key signal?
Thanks!

Do our keys remotes have to be re programed like in some other cars? I can not remember, it has been a while.
Check your manual for that info...
