Default ! mark when braking...

hi. im looking at a gs400 at the dealership for sale. i test drove it and under moderate braking, a light comes on the dash. its a yellow or red triangle(dont remember) with a ! in the middle of it. its kinda like the parking brake light but the parking brakes are off. what is it? it goes away when braking is reduced to low braking. thanks.

Erfan, brake wear indicators produce brake squeal. Only triangular diagram in my dash is the emergency flasher indicator, to the right of the gauge cluster above the ML head unit.

If that's lighting up, you got a wierd short!!

Did you ask the dealership you were test driving the car at about it?

i bought a sc430 instead. the car had 3 accidents b4 but the insurance company had no details cause the previous owner probbaly fixed it himself. i thought about it and i might as well put the money i was going to buy the gs400 with down on a new car.
