Default O2 sensor resistance in 90 degree weather

Does anyone know what resistance the main 02 sensors should be for a 92 lexus sc400?

I am using: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/m...gensensor.html as a guide.

It says, "The resistance should be 5.1-6.3 ohms at 68 degrees."

But I'm in Arkansas so I won't be seeing 68 degree for some time.

Also I am planning on buying the universal denso sensors off oxygensensor.com for 92 dollars. (walker is 72)

Is there a better place to buy these?

if you dont mind reusing your existing connectors, you can buy new denso universals from fleabay for $23/each. see my comments in this thread:

there is only one resistance value given in any lexus tech manual - always at 68 degrees...

I can't recommend any of the universals - too many horror stories with them not working correctly...

mobilyte- I do not mind using ebay. But I can't seem to find the sensor for my car. (92 sc400)

I only found one for 96 and up.
And one that fits the sc300

Could you send me a link to the 23 dollar ones?

Mitsuguy- Thanks for looking for me. Yeah I have read about 1/2 and 1/2 stories good vs bad about universals. Can you tell me where to purchase ones that have plugs in them for the cheapest. If they are within 40 dollars or so each then I'll gladly do that.

Thanks for the help.

mitsu - what's wrong with the denso universals? i've had them on my LS over a year now, and i was happy to pay half the price of a direct fit unit to get 2 universals and do some splicing. i did read about the walker universals being out of spec and still throwing the CEL though fresh from the box though.

zakkubin - if you search under "sc400 oxygen" and view the buy-it-now from seller stores, you will find the vendor in florida.

there may be nothing wrong with them, however I have heard many stories of the universal o2 sensors not working, or working for a very brief period of time, and then the dread check engine light coming back on for the same reason...

you actually may be able to get away with it for forever on your car, I do know the OBD2 cars are much more sensitive to these things...

Mobilyte- Thanks. I didn't realize items in ebay stores didn't show up in the listings. But now I see them. I am for sure buying these for 23 bucks.

Mitsuguy- Thanks for the warning but I'm going to have to try these cheap ones. I'm willing to take a chance for 23 dollars.
