When you say front lower, does that mean pre or post cat?

I installed the sensor! Wow, feels great saving $300 from the toyota dealer! the only trouble I had was the sensor was really screwed in there, wd-40 helped loosen her up. Replacement was a breeze. Thanks for all the tips.

Thanks for this, saved me a fortune, got my sensor from www.densoproducts.com sale on $78 even with shipping to the UK much cheeper than over here and genuine part.
For UK people like me this is slightly more difficult. The Universal joint for the steering wheel kinda gets in the way. You are going to need either a very short extension for the socket or just do what I did and disconnect the steering wheel UV joint - 2 bolts and it slides upwards (remember to mark the lower end as it comes off otherwise when you reconnect it your steering wheel will not sit straight)

Thanks for this thread - pic helps a lot. I am looking for Bank 1 sensor 2 because I have a p0037 code, which I have been told is sensor 1 bank 2, you think replacing s1b2 will do the trick?

FWIW, Replacing S1B2 as shown above fixes a P0037 code as well. And for what its worth - if you use a universal 02 sensor replacement and cut off the wires before the connection clip instead of after - the wire mapping is as shown below
White goes to Blue
Grey goes to Black
Black with red goes to Black
Brown goes to white
So for the color code chart in your instructions you will use the colors on the right side (black black blue white) and map them to the universal sensor. Probably wont make any sense at all unless you do what I did, but hope it helps someone sometime!

Sign up to this thing was a pain, but I thought I would same something the heart ache that I went through. I have an IS300 and had the P0141 code. I was dumb and went by this thread (the a GS) and the other on here. it was too short. The correct Denso part is 234-4015..... I waisted 60 bucks for the other part b/c could not return....but thought I would chime in and help someone else out should they need it
