02 IS300 SportCross Lift/Jack points?
At this point I'm figuring it's safe to swap out the snow tires for the OEM wheels/tires on the wife's car. Traditionally I've done this using my 3-ton hydraulic jack at the standard lift points at each wheel. I'd like to save a little time this year and lift the whole front and the whole back, perhaps using one or both of my jack stands for added safety.
Anyone know where the safe center lift points are at the front and rear and know what to look for? Would it be safe to lower the car onto stands that are positioned at the side lift points?
I found out the hard way last year that you can't lift from the side and slip a stand under there since there's not enough room for both the jack and the stand at the same time and still catch the "safe" lift point. Hence I need to find another lift point, and it seems like it would save time to find the center points in the front and back.
Thanks in advance.

Move your jack a little towards the front, allowing enough space to place the jackstand between the jack and the rear tire... You'll be forward of the notched jack "safe lift" area for the normal supplied scissor jack. Not a concern using a hydraulic jack. I use a rubber block with my 3 ton when lifting the body edge, as not to damage it.
I would not risk differential chassis mountings or body subframe damage by trying to raise the front or rear at a single point.

Interesting, I was just about to say that I answered by own question with a Google search:

Is there really a concern with the mount points listed in the linked article?

Up to you... Yes the center two points would be a concern; risking damage or jack slippage. They are not designed to take the weight applied to the single point... as are the four side box body/frame points...
