Hello,
I'm a new subscriber as well as newly relocated to the Washington DC area. Can someone give me a rundown on Lexus dealers in the Washington DC area please? Especially Montgomery County, Md., and Norther Virginia. I visited Lexus of Rockville recently in order to get the service records on an LS I was thinking of buying, and was not extremely impressed with the attitude of the people in the service department...

I've been very happy with the service and sales department at Pohanka Lexus at Rts 50 & 28 in Northern Virginia. I've heard stories of some dealers acting a little snobbish depending upon how you look/act/dress but they've been very professional with me and I drove up in a rusted out '74 Chevy Pick-up that's only rarely made it off of my farm.
I've been to the service department several times and I've always been able to get a loaner for the day/night. Makes me realize how happy I am with a V8 LS vs. a V6 ES. The little ES just doesn't have the same pep on the way out to Upperville.
The parking lot is very crowded but they're in the middle of building a huge new service facility that should be open some time this year.

Hey 9, I have to tell you that you honestly have to choose the Dealership that you're most comfortable with. Being that you're in Besthesda, I guess Rockville is the closest 1 to you.
We have a lot of dealings with the Rockville shop. If you're in a pinch, ask to speak to Jay Rowse, he's the manager of the entire service dept there.
The other Lexus establishments are in Silver Spring (a DARCARS branch; Take Route 29 North from 495), there's also Lindsey Lexus in Alexandria, Va (Take 395 South) & lastly there's Lexus in Chantilly, Va (way out there, about 40 min from Bethesda).
I have had the opportunity to deal with all of the Lexus establishments in the area & I really couldn't tell you which one is better or worse than another. I have had good experiences & bad ones @ all. The folks @ the Rockville location have become very accomodating since they found out who I am & what I do.
What was the question again???!! LOL
