Just wondering if you guys remember your first "I fixed it myself" thing. I'm not talking about "I put the stickers on myself" or little accessories. It could be decades ago, or it could be weeks ago.

I think mine was.....replacing my antenna assembly on my ES. But I remember changing tires in high school.

Great post Mezoom.. My first DIY on my 1981 Corolla was a tune up by changing spark plug, air filter and a plastic fuel filter, but back then that was the thing to do. Only one thing I don't know was I have to adjust the gap on the spark plugs, so my little Corolla runs like crap. I'd end up take her to the shop and spend another $60.00 to get her diagnostic and adjust the spark plugs gap..

I'm sure you can count this as maintenance: Changed the wiper blades when I used to have my '93 Nissan pick-up many many years ago

Replacing the distributor (remember those?) on a 1979 Ford Fairmont. With help from a neighbor who's a retired mechanic.

I lost all my Fairmont photos, but I found this gem in New Mexico on a trip. Same color and condition, but mine had a tan vinyl roof. Can't believe that I drive a Lexus now.
