Default Cleaning your Windshield Washer Nozzles

Thanks to info from Sonyman (bicycle pump) and ACleanSC4 (procedure for removing the nozzles), I went ahead and did this in FIVE minutes. If you don't want to spend any money for newer nozzles, and your current ones are clogged, do the following:

Find an index card, or business card and fold it in half. Take the folded edge and stick it under the front of the nozzle (area with the holes). You should see a little piece pop out from both sides, this means you pushed the clip in. Take another folded in half business card, and stick it under the back edge of the nozzle. Then pull up. The nozzle should pop out enough for you to wiggle it out fully and pull the hose a little bit. Muster up some strength and muscle that hose off of the nozzle, but don't twist it (it will rip!)! Now, find a bicycle pump. Hold the nozzle in your left hand, and take the attachment end of the bicycle pump in your right hand. Place the nozzle inside the attachment (it will be a loose fit) and hold both together with your left hand. Make sure the nozzle is pointed away from you, and slam down on that pump 5 or 6 times with your right hand. On the first and second pumps you ought to see all that crap flying out of the nozzle. As it starts to become cleaner, you can stop pumping and verify that air does indeed flow through the nozzles. Then go back to the car, and reattach the hose (it will just push on very easily) and then feed the hose back through its opening, place the nozzle in its slot, and push down softly to resecure it. Repeat process with the other nozzle.

Five minutes, and my spray is like day 1.

Local Lexus dealer. $15 each painted to your factory OEM color. Info thanks to ACleanSC4. Any nozzle will fit, the LS430 nozzles seem to provide the best spray.

I did the same for my ES. Swapped out the factory 3-jet stream nozzles for the newer, fine mist spray nozzles from the '03 ES.

A nice subtle mod that can be done in less than 15 min

Default Windshield Washer Nozzels

I read on http://www.intellexual.net/, that the washer nozzels for Any Lexus automobile will fit on any other Lexus model. I changed my SC400, two spray nozzels for a 2003 GS set that sprays three streams. It works great. The color on my SC400 is Red (3K3) and the GS did not come in that color. So, I got black ones. They look great and work great also. They were Very easy to switch.
They were $33.00 at the dealer

Cool

I just gently put a pin in the nozzels & get the gunk outta there. Have to be careful though as they could be damaged easily.

I once clogged one of the nozzles with wax. Used a toothpick to clean it. Nothing to it.

Depending on what clogged your nozzels you might want to consider checking for particle debris in your washer fluid, etc. The system might need a flush and clean.

I recently purchased a used 2GS and despise the nozzle spray, and they were clogged. I love that I can find an eight year old post on here to help resolve current issues with my car! You guys are great!
