Not a very popular synthetic that is used based on what other members have mentioned. The two most popular are Mobil 1 & Amsoil by far (I used M1, since switched to Amsoil).

The deal isn't for MaxLife synthetic oil...it's for MaxLife dino oil. Although Autozone had MaxLife synthetic (API SL) on clearance for $2/qt a few months back. MaxLife is a good quality dino oil, the synthetic version is also supposed to be good.

Decent dino oil. I used it for awhile. Reduced the lifter chatter I had. Since, I've gone back to Mobil 1 and now use Royal Purple occasionally. May try MaxLife full synthetic next time.

the MaxLife dino is great if you have slight smoke at startup like 5SFE engines do. A few changes of that stuff and no more valve seal leak.

Slcik 50 is a complete waste of money & does nothing to help your engine. Studies have actually shown it does more harm than good. Same goes for all the other popular 'engine additives' like Dura Lube & the like & the so called 'teflon' stuff. Synthetic oil offers the best protection for an engine.
