"Clunk" from the rear...
I've noticed that the rear suspension is making a low "clunk" sort of sound when going over normal bumps in the road....It doesn't appear from the maint records that anything about the suspension has ever been changed...
I'm wondering what could be the cause of this....I've seen everything from struts to sway bars to bushings....and I have zero idea how to hone in on which it might be. I'm a novice at this stuff so help is, as always, much appreciated!

i had that clunking noise even after a suspension upgrade (new KYB struts and strut mounts and Eibach springs on all corners). finally solved the noise by buy a can of silicon spray, particularly Toyota-labled one at the Toyota dealership for $5, and giving each sway bar bushings a shot of the spray. i also sprayed the endlink bushings. you can take it further and have the sway bar bushings changed out easy DIY at $9 each at newlexusparts.com. theyre only held on by a bracket with 2 bolts for each bushing. easier if the wheels are removed and make sure you lube the bushings before reassembling.
