I have a 1990 Lexus LS 400. It has approximately 125,000 miles on it. The car has been plagued with phantom problems for the past few years. I have worked with a mechanic to work through these issues. However, even after we have replaced the Engine Computer Unit, I am getting intermittent Tack Malfunction Lights. The codes tell us nothing, so he says. We thought the new ECU would solve this. I really need another mechanic in Phoenix to check this out. I have been ripped off at dealers and one other "upscale" shop who did unecessary work and who could not fix other problems that my current guy has solved. Anybody out there who can give me some advise on this problem or a new mechanic? I am at a loss. Thanks!

I wish I could give you some advise as I am in the Phoenix area as well but don't know any good Lexus shops. If somebody does give you a name of a good shop, please post it on this board as I am sure there are others with the same question.
