My driver side door is not opening from the outside. It seems as though the latch
from the inside has come undone or something, and now when i roll my windown down,
i hear all types of metal sounds and stuff. i'm SO upset about it, i feel like im gonna puke.
its the dead of winter, and im havin THIS issue? never expected such a thing with this car.
it still opens from the inside thank god.

Does anyone have a rough idea on how much it would cost to get this situation repaired?
ballpark figures? i tried calling the dealer but they're already closed.

I'll be on all night, so i'd love for someon to respond. =(

It sounds like a plastic clip or similar has broken off from inside the door handle assembly. You may have to take apart the door lock assembly from the inside of the car in order to get to the outside handle assembly, which can be a real pain.

I'm going to move this topic to Maintenance as we have a couple Lexus master technicians who can help you out with the problem

Same thing happend to me, same yr too. It's a yellow plastic clip that connects the handle to the door locks.

Ok i took the car to the dealer out in BFE and it was half the cost of Metro area dealers to check it out. It tunred out to be the stupid yellow clip. 40 bucks and it was a done deal. thanks for the help gentlemen.
