A drain and a flush are two different things.
Flushing requires about 19 quarts of fluid, they drain, and refill several times so as to get all the old fluid out of the transmission and torque converter. With a drain, your gonna still have roughly 30%-50% old fluid remaining.

They use the trans flush machine that hook up to the transmission cooler lines at the bottom of the radiator. After the tech hook up the trans cooler lines to the machine and start the car, now it bypass the trans cooler and all of the trans fluid that come out of the transmission will go through the flush machine( inlet side) instead of going through the radiator. The old trans fluid will be correct in the drain tank.
The machine will pump in the new fluid back into the transmission.

my dealer charges $80 for fluid change. not flush. I just had it done at 22k miles(because the car is an 01 and also I was having a new diff put in via warranty. So I paid $80 for a $3000 job.

I have no idea how you consider a tranny fluid change being worth $3,000. Dont consider the new diff. a $3000 thing, it was free, and was covered under warranty.
Yes I know if you WERENT covered, it would have been a ton.

My service advisor at the dealership told me they have a transmission flush machine, but when I called last week to make an appointment for a flush I was told that they DON'T have a flush machine . So now I don't know where to take my car for a good flush. Does anybody have any recommendations???
