Passenger door doesn't open....AT ALL
I think my car is a taxi now. My passenger front door wasn't opening from the outside (plastic clip broken + me trying to fix = accidentally broken rod from trying to get clip on it). To make matters worse, now my father-in-law-to-be, yanked the door handle (repeatedly 4-5 times) while i was trying to unlock it. Now my passenger front door doesn't open at ALL. Any suggestions on getting it open or do i have to take somewhere to get fixed? Is it possible to find someone who could get the door open w/out taking it to the dealer and being ravaged by high dealer prices. Starting to get thoughts about getting rid of her. HELP ANYONE???

Had the same thing happen to my drivers side door. Part you need to replace is the door lock assembly. $220 from Carson Toyota, cheapest around. I recommend you get a shop to replace it. Takes a lot of disassembly and mechanical common sense. It should take you taking out the window and tracks, as well as several other parts. Sorry.
