The key to saving money on normal maintenance items like filters and spark plugs is to find out which Toyota parts have applications in Lexus's and vice versa. For example, the ES 300/330 shares alot of stuff with the Toyota Camry V6 and the LS400/430 shares some stuff with the Toyota Tundra V8 (e.g. spark plugs and probably the serpentine drive belt and timing belt)
I have just started this project, but I do know for sure the best mail order discount Toyota parts dealer is the USA is Bob Bridge Toyota http://1sttoyotaparts.com/ 1-800-271-3948. Bob Bridge gives a whopping 29% discount on Toyota parts, but does not ship fluids. Champion Toyota in Houston is the only discount Toyota dealer I know that will ship fluids like antifreeze, brake fluid and motor oil.
Even the least expensive internet Lexus dealers are substantially more expensive than discount Toyota dealers.

For my own reference, I keep a continuous tally of all Lexus/Toyota parts for my car, gathered from various sources (i.e. ClubLexus search engine , service invoices, etc.)
