Oxygen Sensor 2000 LX 470
I'm getting an engine code PO135 which is heater circuit malfunction O2 sensor, Bank 1 Side 1. Two questions: 1---How do I reset (clear) the code?; 2---Is the solution to replace the O2 sensor?
I tried to clear the code by removing the EFI fuse and the ECU fuse for one minute but it did not work. Any suggestions?
Thanks

replace the O2 sensor. The code will just keep coming back after cleared.
I just went through the same thing. It was suggested to add a bottle of dry gas to the tank. This did remove CEL. My guess it changed the emissions just enough that the signal the O2 sensor was sending was just above the threshold that triggers the CEL. Can't tell you how long it would have been before the CEL returned because I had it replaced under warranty.
you could always put black tape over the CEL.

I have the same p 0135, code and but in a can of fuel injector cleaner. The drygas cure suggests to me that there was some water in the gas tank. Perhaps I will try the same remedy. Did you O2 sensor code come back or is it still cured? If I need to replace the sensors, it would be better to do while the weather is warm!

Yes. I drove the LFA.

A heater circuit code will not be cured with any kind of tricks... there is a heater element inside each O2 sensor. So, similar to a light bulb lighting up, if the heater element is broken, the heater doesnt not heat up. You can test the sensor pretty simply... there are 4 wires on each sensor, unplug it, and check for continuity on the two black wires... if it is open, then the heater element is broken inside, replace the sensor.
