Craking sound on steering wheel turn

Default Craking sound on steering wheel turn

When I turn my steering wheel, I hear a ckacking sound on driver front suspension side. What could it be ? When I go over some bumps, I here that sound too so...What could it be ?

Very unlikely but on my buddy's old acura, it was a broken coil spring.

Broken coil spring? hrmm... I've never seen a broken coil spring... not saying that's not a possibility, but would assume it would be very rare. I'd be more inclined to stay maybe a strut, or a loose bolt somewhere? I'm really not familiar with that particular model, but if it has strut mounts, as some cars do, it could possibly be a worn strut mount. There's always the possibility of it being something in the steering rack as well, though that should be somewhat unlikely as well.
