Default redline MT-90 oil

i plan on buying some redline MT-90 fluids so i can flush my tranny. i was wondering if the MT-90 is the same as 75x90 gear oil for the rear differential?. On the website is says that MT-90 is 75x90 but im just trying to make sure so i dont buy the wrong stuff for the differential. thanks

I would e-mail redline directly and ask them for their recommendation for your application. They are pretty good in that way and will respond within a few days. Go to their corporate website, not to oneof their distributors.

hey, glad you're doing the fluid flush. also, do it yourself, it is SO EASY

and to the best of my knowledge, the fluids are NOT the same. I think the MT-90 has special additives for synchros. I would just order the MT-90 for the tranny, and then 75W-90 gear oil for the diff

Well the pump I used was a simple hand pump, and it cost about $5. It worked great, and its designed to fit on the top of gallon jugs, so you just pour the fluid into the jug and pump away.

Also, i just looked up my '93 SC3 owners manual that I got from lexus.com that "Hypoid gear oil API GL-5, SAE90" is the correct oil for the rear diff
