Worst that can happen if timing belt breaks on non-interference engine?
I noticed in the owner's manual for the '90-'94 LS that no timing belt replacement is scheduled, whereas other newer Lexus models call for timing belt replacement at 90K. I'm guessing this is because the '90-'94 LS has a non-interference engine.
What's the worst that can happen if a timing belt were to break on an LS non-interference engine? And would it result in simply a loss of acceleration, or something more dangerous?

The worst is you're stuck in the middle of nowhere. The 1st gen LS timing belt and water pump need to be done at 120K. Most of the time the timing belt break, but the water pump locked up and cause the belt to break.
