Accessory / Alternator / Power Steering belt change?
Accessory / Alternator / Power Steering belt... is this the same belt?
Any tips on how to replace one on a 92' SC 400?
Looking at the dealer manual it looks like all i have to do is remove a pulley....
do i also have to replace the pulley when doing this?
sorry... i'm kinda clueless on this... the manual doesn't tell me much.
any tips and part numbers are appreciated!
thanks!

Don't need to remove any pulleys, just relieve the belt tension by turning the center bolt of the automatic tensoning pulley counter-clockwise. This will give you enough slack to slip the old belt off and install the new one. NOTE: THE CENTER BOLT HAS LEFT-HAND THREADS
Good luck,

like he said, you dont have to remove anything but the belt. it should take you 5 minutes TOPS. grab the tensioner pulley with a wrench and turn it, the belt will slide right off. SUPER EASY.

You can take out the belt in less then 20 seconds. Use a 14 mm at the belt tensioner and turn it counter clockwise with the left hand and pull the belt off with your right.
See picture below. The 14 mm bolt is right under the radiator hose. Remember to turn CCW.

With guidance from the above posts, I just changed the serpentine belt on my 92 V8, which appears to be original and still has some life left to it.
So after folding it up and sealing it in a plastic bag, I tucked the old belt into the area forward of the radiator and just behind the styrofoam bumper. That way, I'll always have a spare with me in the unlikely event the new belt fails (if I remember that I did this, of course!).
