I was at the dealership the other day to service my 2013 LX and realized that the 14 and 15 models now have an updated LED fog lights. I was always pissed off about the unmatched **** yellow fog lights. Has any tried to put the new fog lights into previous models? Do they need some sort of conversion?

I was surprised with the LED fogs on my 2015 LX. The housing looks to be the same exact size so it looks like you could just do a switch out. Hate to think of what Lexus wants for them but they do look sharp with the HID.

funny thing is the led fogs ends up looking "bluer / whiter" than the hid. that was the case in the isf, lx, and ls i reviewed (iirc)

The LED do have a higher color temp than the HIDs. Still looks much better than the pre-LED fogs which are quite yellow.

absolutely agree with you there.

it was just a little funny feeling when i pull my car up against my garage door and suddenly i saw "whiter" light down low

You guys must have cateracts. My 2011 has bright white fog lights and I run them all the time with the headlights. Would not want to change a thing. New is not better.

It has xenon headlights. Explan the difference between HID and xenon

really? i thought HID (same as xenon) on lx570 started in 2013 with the facelift. i thought before that it was all halogen, at least i am pretty sure 08/09 were halogen. 2010-2012 lexus updated the nav to gen6, but i didn't know they updated the headlights as well?

Mine has adaptive xenon headlights. 2011, maybe an option?

i think you might want to double check on 2011 having xenon. i think it's halogen and only in 2013 they started having HID with the facelift (in the US market)

nop, i just googled and read threads, here in the US HID not an option at all until 2013 it became standard. you have adaptive headlights (AFS), but the light source is halogen i believe

i don't know what you are looking at, but i am pretty sure lx570 no hid until 2013. others can chime in.

or if you can check on the bulb yourself. if you twist the bulb off? that's halogen
