I'm going to go ask the dealer about changing the lights. Found a pair on ebay for around $250. I'm going to try to change my 2011 F02 bimmer's yellow angel eyes before I get to this one. I agree with rominl that the HID or Xenon lights didn't come until the facelift in 2013. They then updated the fog lights in 2014. Still makes me mad that there is no blind spot detector like the new GX460.

no doubt between lx570 and lx470, the lighting performance improved drastically even with halogen

yes, it's a little odd that on this flagship suv and the price tag and it doesn't have the latest and greatest

I have LED's in my low beam and high beam and 4300k HID fog lights.

The LED kits are less than $100 and don't trigger the AFS warning on the lows like some HID kits.

As usual, the true color is hard to capture in the pictures but the LED's in the lows most similarly resemble the LED's in the new Corolla.

Do you think your getting "better" light coverage on the road at night or you just like the look? I would only change for function not "looks".

My first set of LED in my low beam were weak. The HID fog threw out all the light. Now I have a set rated at 3200 Lumen and they are noticeably stronger than halogen and approach HID strength. The high beams are also 3200 Lumen and are great in the pitch dark. If there is ambient light like street lights they blend in more and don't seem as bright as halogen.

This is my wife's truck and she won't let me put the lights I have for my high beams: PIAA plasma ion. They blanket the world in yellow and are noticeably stronger than halogen. Before the LED's I was running a high wattage Hella bulb in the high beam and that's what I'm comparing the LED light to. Can't remember what the stock halogens looked like.

If I had my druthers I would go 4300k HID in low beam. I tried it but the AFS light they triggered made my wife crazy. So I moved them to the fogs. Someone on here recently posted how to do the HIDs in a way that doesn't trigger the AFS light. But that ship has sailed on that.

I don't have the pics of my 2013 LX570 with the new LED bulbs in the fog lights with me right now, but I had replaced my 2013 CT200h's low beams and fogs with LED bulbs and my 2014 RX 450h's fogs. I can only find pics on my CT200h to post here. Will post other pics on the LX570 and RX450h later.

The first 4 bulbs (for the CT200h) were bought from eBay from a seller in China (took like 2 weeks or so to receive). I tested them out and DID NOT get hot and I had both the low beam and fogs set to ON everytime the car is running. I did this for about one month and the 4 bulbs did well and had no issues. No error messages on the dash. I then ordered 4 more identical bulbs for the LX570 and RX450h fogs. So far after about 3 months they are all running well.

I had my wife drive all the vehicles towards me and vice versa and DID NOT have any "blinding lights/eyes" issues. It is rated at 6000K, 30 watts and at 3000 lumens each bulb. I remember the specs called for something like 30000 hours ??? (not sure on this). It is very bright and I can see out much better ESPECIALLY TO THE SIDES. The bulbs are designed to project light more so to the sides so as to not BLIND oncoming traffic. The color is DAYLIGHT and NOT THE CHEAP BLUE TYPE OF COLOR. I noticed that people tend to get out of my way as I approach them from behind, especially at night because they see me coming.

The specs are:
H11 6000K 60W 6000LM One-body Design Auto CREE LED Headlights Fog Lamp DRL Bulb

Make sure it is 2nd generation or newer (Mine was 2nd gen) and NO FAN MOTORS. Meaning no moving parts. I think the older gen had an actual fan to cool it and tend to fail and overheat. The newer gen has "fins" and "Copper core" for cooling. I turned it on for over an hour and then checked.....it is not hot at all. So this will not melt the light housing as my old higher wattage halogen bulbs did on my previous LX470.

First set (2 pairs) I bought was $59.99 per pair (from China with free shipping, but took a long time). Second set I bought was from another seller in USA at $69.99 with free shipping and shipped quickly and I got it in a few days. All worked well. All were identical items.

Link for the USA seller is (but currently out of stock for the H11 led bulbs):

Here are the pics taken at night with my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) the best I could . The pics without fog lights on are with both low and high beams on. The pics with fog lights on are with low beam and fog lights on :
