Default What's a realistic offer on a leftover 2013?

So there are still a few leftover 2013's LX's on lots around the country. What's a realistic offer on one of these vehicles? They seem to be optioned similarly: ML, Luxury, Park Assist, Remote Start and sticker somewhere around $90,000 give or take a few hundred. I've seen posts from people receiving discounts in the 10% range for 2014's so that amount plus the extra year's depreciation would seem to be the absolute most that should be considered. Any thoughts? I don't have a problem with a '13 vs '14 if the price is right, but several dealers have come in at invoice or higher on these things (which is absurd).

I was offered 13% off a 13 as dealers first offer. They couldn't find what I wanted so I went with a 14. I bet you could get 16-18% off if you are willing to press.

I was working a deal last october on both 2013 and 2014 model: the price difference wasn't that huge: only about $3000 in dealer cash. given one year depreciation, a 2014 was a much better deal. So, unless there's a crazy deal on a "13 of $15k or so off, I'd work it on a 14 model

Try truecars.com they support new and used.

The problem with used is the prices are sometimes more than a discounted new one.

A Lexus Certified is just as good as a used one too. Here in Northern VA there are plenty of used 13's in the low to mid 70's and certified with very little miles.

There seems to be a huge price point between the 11 and 13 as they did not make any 12's.

The only catch I've found is the dealers do very little to get the Certified process. We looked at a 2011 with 8K on it a few weeks ago. Everything that was not attached was taken off. Mats, owners manuals, net, trailer electric outlet. They had only one remote and wanted me to drive 100 miles back to get the second one and still missing the smart card. If it has the Lux pkg., you should be getting the 2 smart keys and smart card. We walked as I refused to come back. Had they offered to pay the fuel or deliver it I would have been so bent on it. They did a follow up call and I dropped the f bomb stating all of that should have been taken care of before it went on sale. Lexus called me a few days after that and apologized for the deal saying is was a misunderstanding. When I explained to them that all the stuff was either taken off or missing their tone changed. I did get a formal letter as well telling me they sincerely apologized and that the vehicle was not being sold to Lexus standards.

Good luck....

Guys,

I'm getting an 85k msrp for approx 75k 2013.

If what I'm reading above is correct there should be another 5% or so to
Get knocked off?

What dealer is offering 10% off a new 14?

I think that dealers are not as willing to make deals on 2013 old inventory as we think they are (or should be). Especially if it's new 2013 inventory (no miles, still new). If they are demos or CPO's, there may be more wiggle room, but seems like you have more opportunity with 2014. In our case, we were approx 3-4k apart between a new 2013 vs. 2014 (based on our conversations w/ sales manager). And we could have saved another 3-5k for a Demo/Pre-owned 2013 with 20k miles. It wasn't worth the savings to me to have a yr old car with the miles. Plus we so rarely trade/buy vehicles, that we decided to go brand new. (Understanding, of course, that is not for everyone, nor is it practical).

We bought our 2014 LX in Dallas for $82.5k (in early January).
