Default Cooled seat upgrade

Anyone do an upgrade to their cooled seats on an LX 570?

Are you asking about an upgrade from non-cooled seats to ones with the cooling function?

Or, an upgrade to improve the performance of seats that already have the cooling function?

I thought all LX570 have cooled front seats.

Ventilated would be a better description. There is no forced air from the ac, it only uses the ambient air to ventilate.

I've always wondered if you could simply reverse the air flow on the seat ventilation. In my Porsche the ventilation is into the seat and it works very good. The Lexus seems to blow air out of the seat, and doesn't work so good. I presume it is a DC motor powering the fan. Couldn't you just reverse the leads and get the fan to rotate the opposite direction?

I would not think that it would be a good idea. The most needed area is when the body contact with the perforated seat...heat generates from body heat. If it sucks in air rather blowing out to the skin, the perforated areas where body contact with the seat are blocked and won't cool down. Unless one wants to keep moving his butt constantly. That is my 2 cents.

Suggest you go take a ride in a Porsche and then report back. It may seem contrary logic, but the Porsche seats are much better at cooling than my Lexus seats are.
