The LX570 is a very expensive, top of the line true SUV. It compares very favorably in total number of sales to the top of the line Porsche Cayenne and top of the line Land Rover, it's only true competitors.

I think too many of the previous Lexus owners did not like it and did not upgrade waiting for the next gen. The numbers reflected it.

244,000 total Lexus sold in the US in 2012. That means almost 1/2 the total Lexus production was sold in the United States. Yet they restrict the number of LX 570's that are available for our market thus making it more difficult to purchase one.

overall number doesn't have much to do with individual breakdown. just go compare the number of LX sold to the number of lexus sold in middle east, and it's not hard to understand why lexus doesn't send as many LX here

You will have to look back through the articles. They give monthly sales at the end of each month and there was a yearly production report, but not as detailed.

Not sure where that number came from as the Lexus enthusiast indicates that less than 400 were sold in November in the u.s. if that's the case we are getting a very small percentage. I was told the number available here is hugely influenced by the need for Toyota to meet the nanny state fuel consumption requirements. Can't wait to see the products that are available when the 54 mpg. Kicks in. ... Taking good care of mine.
